Official Herd Team Kit FAQ

Q: Hey (Hay)!  That is a really nice kit.  How do I order one?  

As of April 2021, we will continue with our model of  a spring & fall order for the FULL store with all the extra pieces, accessories (Thermal Jerseys, jackets, vests, tech tees, tank tops, hoodie, leg & arm warmers, sun sleeves, etc.) The announcement for store opening will be plastered all over the FB page, Strava Club, Website, during rides etc.

So I have to wait?!?

Yes…and no.  If you want additional pieces like arm warmers, jackets, vests/gilets, and such, then yes, you will have to wait until the store opens again.  

However, PrimalWear USA will begin stocking both the Standard blue/green kits, the HRL red/black kit, socks & caps once they receive their inventory in June. Anyone will then be able to order these limited pieces at anytime. The website for that store will be announced once we hear from PrimalWear USA that it is open.

I see that others have gotten their gear and I’m waiting for mine, what’s going on?

If I’m unhappy with my order, what is the return policy?

PrimalWear has the Primal Guarantee…”We know you’re going to love your Primal apparel as much as we do. If for any reason you aren’t completely satisfied with our products or service, please let us know and we will make it right.”

Primal will absolutely replace your kit for a size that will be a better fit for you. You can reach out to: customer.service@primalwear.com with your order and size info and we will get your replacement produced and to you in just a few weeks.

What is the fit of the kits like? 

Herd Evo 2.0 Jerseys are listed as a “Slim Fit” but it is actually a more generous cut than even the “Club” fit jersey from our first vendor, Starlight. Choose one size up to match the standard fit.

Herd Racing League (Black & Red) Omni Jerseys are also Slim Fit. These have 4-way stretch and conform to body contours well, but if you aren’t into that sausage casing look, definitely size up.

How is the sizing?  I’m used to wearing, Rapha, Endura, Castelli….

What made the Herd choose Primal for the kits?  I’ve worked with (insert any apparel company here) and they were great!  Would you consider switching to them?

We choose Primal because they are able to offer us a store in North American and Europe.  This allows for not only ease of ordering, but less issues with shipping and shipping costs (including taxes).  There are lots of good companies that make quality gear, and this is who we will be using for the foreseeable future.

How will I know when the next full gear release is? 

It will be in March or August.  It will be posted in announcement in The Herd’s FB page and Strava page in addition the on the Herd Racing League page.  Various reminders will also be posted so if you miss it, its because you dropped off the internet during that time.  

What about taxes etc.?

There is a US Store and a European Store. If you’re unsure, you need to do your research on the value of your money compared to either store. If you order from the wrong store and have to pay more for freight or duty, consider it your tax for not following directions and reading to the end of the ordering page!

BREXIT: PrimalEurope is saying to carry on exactly as before, however should anyone be hit with an import charge, keep a record and they will reimburse you.

Different countries have different limits on maximum value allowed to be imported without additional 16% duty. Average allowance seems to be £350. Should you place an order for over the allowance level for your country, your order will be split into multiple orders/shipments.
